If you are looking for a highly educated, results-driven, creativity-encouraging piano teacher whose lessons are of exceptional professional quality - while fun and interesting, your search stops here. Sergei Pavlov is the piano teacher with possibly the best credentials and experience you can find in your area. In July 2015 Sergei's student Johann has just won the provincial finals of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association Young Artist Competition, thus validating that Sergei Pavlov is arguably one of the best piano teachers in Ontario. Sergei was able lead a very talented student to achieving and proving his potential against all other competing students taking piano lessons in Ontario.
Sergei encompasses three hard to find professional qualities: he is a highly qualified pedagogue having studied at the renowned Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, he is an award-winning concert pianist and he was an adjudicator at international level. It would be objectively hard to find a piano teacher who encompasses so many qualities, thus offering a great inspiration to his students, who successfully compete in music festivals and piano competitions.
Sergei Pavlov is offering piano lessons to the blossoming young pianist preparing for RCM examinations and piano competitions. He is also helping mature music lovers to gain a new skill, or hone an existing one. He is now extending the offering of piano lessons to the Ajax, Whitby and Pickering areas and students are welcome to come to the piano studio, located at Rossland and Salem and equipped with a Yamana C5 professional series grand piano. Sergei Pavlov is now also offering coaching and studying assitance over Skype, for advanced students in need of a mentor to help them navigate towards a music goal. Working closely with a master in areas that need improvement can speed up tremendously the advancement in piano studies.
Sergei Pavlov holds a Master's Degree in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy from the renowned Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow and he was the Grand Prix Winner of the Bartók-Kabalevsky-Prokofiev International Piano Competition in 1995 - please scroll down to the Past Competition Laureates section on the piano competition's website. Sergei was invited to participate as an adjudicator in the same competition the next year. Currently he is a member of ORMTA (Ontario Registered Music Teachers Association) and the Vice President of its Scarborough branch. Sergei keeps up his musical and pedagogic edge by continually gathering and analyzing new pertinent information and participating actively in piano forums, where he shares ideas with fellow musicians.
Sergei Pavlov has built an intensive piano performance experience via his concert pianist career path, and he is not only a good pianist, but an excellent, experienced piano teacher as well. His musical sensitivity and virtuosity have been highly recognized in piano competitions at international level, and in concerts all over the world.
Sergei Pavlov has been teaching piano lessons in the Greater Toronto Area for more than two decades. He founded Debut Piano Studio, a well established and successful home-based piano school which has now over forty five proud and very special students resembling a big, happy musical family. Sometimes they meet at their teacher's home, for mini recitals in preparation for music competitions. Please see videos of our piano students, recorded during the piano studio's recitals.
